I have been working in financial services since 1997, and what has kept me in this business for nearly three decades is simple, I genuinely love helping people build a financial foundation that gives them confidence in their future.

My approach to financial planning is straightforward: build the foundation first, then build the wealth. That means before we talk about investments or retirement strategies, we make sure the basics are solid, a complete budget, a clear picture of all debts, and proper protection in place through insurance. Once that foundation is secure, we can build something that lasts.

I offer a multidisciplinary practice that covers wealth management, investment planning, estate planning, and tax planning and preparation. Over the course of my career I have worked extensively with professionals, business owners, and families navigating complex financial situations. I hold a Series 7, Series 24, Series 63, and Series 65 securities registration, as well as Life, Accident, and Health insurance licenses.

Earlier in my career I had the privilege of helping build financial services agencies across Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado, and spoke at universities throughout the Southwest, Midwest, and West on financial careers and planning. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for financial education, something I carried forward through my work with the Society for Financial Awareness (SOFA), where I ran a local nonprofit chapter dedicated to providing free financial planning seminars to businesses and individuals in the community.

I am a proud graduate of St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota, and a lifelong fan of Notre Dame football, a passion passed down from my father, who attended the University. My youngest son Aidan is currently a student there, which makes Saturdays in the fall particularly exciting in our house.

My wife Michelle and I relocated to Castle Rock, Colorado from the San Francisco Bay Area, where I also have experience as a partner in a commercial real estate limited partnership. We are proud parents of three, Anthony, an alumnus of Lindenwood University, Alyssa, currently studying at the University of Arizona, and Aidan at Notre Dame. Michelle and I love to travel and have explored destinations across the United States, Australia, and Mexico. From 2008 to 2016 I had the honor of volunteering as a football coach at the high school and youth level, an experience that reinforced the same values I bring to my work every day, preparation, fundamentals, and playing the long game.

Financial Advisor

Chris Rosa has been providing financial consulting and advisory with Capstone Financial Services since 2010. His practice is built around a simple premise: for high-income professionals, investment strategy and tax strategy aren’t separate conversations, they need to happen together. Chris works extensively with physicians and other medical professionals, from W-2 hospital employees to practice owners and surgery center partners, whose compensation structures, entity elections, and retirement plan options carry tax consequences that a purely investment-focused advisor often misses.

Each year through CFS Tax Group, Chris prepares and reviews hundreds of individual, partnership, and S-corporation returns, and brings that same technical depth to his clients’ financial plans and retirement plan design, entity structure and reasonable compensation analysis for practice owners, disability coverage review, and tax efficient investment management using managed accounts, ETFs, mutual funds, individual securities, alternative investments, and annuities. For clients navigating contract negotiations, practice buy-ins, or PSLF and student loan strategy, he coordinates the tax and financial planning pieces so decisions in one area don’t create problems in the other.

Chris is licensed as a General Securities Representative (Series 7) and Investment Advisor Representative (Series 66), and holds a Life, Accident, and Health insurance license.

Chris is a Colorado native who grew up in Arvada and graduated from Colorado State University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a Minor in Business Administration, where he also played three years of collegiate lacrosse as a starting defenseman. Outside the office, he spends his time with his wife Kristin, two kids, Caden and Kenley, family and friends, loves to travel and tries to stay as active as possible.
